Choosy für Mac

Overall I like this app and use it for Big Sur. However one thing that bugs me is that every time I boot my machine it now shows me a browsers prefs window in the middle of my screen that I have to close. Exhaustive searches for logins and launch agents fails to turn up anything. Tried several time to email the developer over many weeks and received no response. Additionally there are no entries on his Twitter page since 2020. This leads be to conclude that Choosy is no longer a support application and that development has ceased. As such you might wish to carefully consider the purchase of this app.

Excellent utility. Highly recommended. Sadly this version is not working on 10.13.6 High Sierra even though it states compatible with 10.9. Please fix! Downgrading...

It's really the best. Funny that I see competitors with more frequent updates yet their apps still don't offer the functionality of choosy.

I've tried one or two of the other available browser choosers and not got on with them. I decided to try Choosy (which is now at version 2.1) without much expectation that it would be any better. However after trying the demo version I decided to buy it within a couple of days because of two design features that make it stand out: 1) The window that allows you to select a browser appears immediately under the cursor, ready to be clicked. 2) The preferences allow you to select either from all installed browsers you have enabled or from only browsers that are currently running. This means that if you only want to be using one particular browser the app won't bother you with a selection window if you only have that browser running. For me Choosy scores on convenience and ease of use.

Great app, but I have slight issue when using custom rules - source app is not showing on the list after it's been chosen. The onlt way to view what's in there is to check behaviours.plist file.
